If you are seeking an Order of Protection, please take the following steps. The Affidavit and the Order of Protection Petition MUST both be filled out to the best of your ability if the section applies to you.
You won't sign the documents online. You will come to the Sheriff's office to sign them and have them notarized.

- Section 3 about threats and physical abuse will be filled out at the end of the petition.
- Section 5 about previous acts will be completed by the Detective, if applicable, when you come to the Sheriff's office.

Adobe will send you email confirmations for both documents. You must click on the confirmation link in the emails or we won't receive your documents and you will have to fill them out again.
Step 4
Come to the White County Sheriff's Office in person, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm to review it with a Detective and have the document notarized. You do not need to bring the forms. We should have your submission (if you properly confirmed your email address via Adobe in Step 3).
